Scotwood Macdonald Ltd specialise in accurate forest mensuration and inventory analysis. We utilise the latest technology to keep you in the know about your property by providing owners or agents with a detailed, comprehensive estimate of the timber stocks and growth rates in a forest to aid in buying, selling or valuing a property. Alongside this we can provide complementary services such as mapping, terrain analysis and production of aerial images. Established in 1992, Scotwood Macdonald have almost 30 years of experience providing reliable and efficient forestry services. Our mensuration techniques are based on the Forestry Commission ‘Blue Book’ approach, which is considered the industry standard, and have been honed over the years to eliminate bias, increase accuracy and account for the specific variables of a site. We work closely with our clients and receive regular feedback following felling of measured crops. This allows continual vetting of techniques and generates accuracy data.

Owned and managed by John Macdonald, the company offer a wide range of services ranging from basic management to full tree surveys. With offices in Argyll and the central belt, we operate throughout Scotland and further afield, aiming to provide a comprehensive service wherever the location.
